  18. This file provides information for Shareware Distributors, Disk Vendors and
  19. Computer Clubs who wish to distribute the SAB Diskette Utility 2.40 package.

  28.                          Distribution Requirements

  31. Individuals who wish to distribute the SAB Diskette Utility package to
  32. friends or associates may do so provided that all of the files listed in
  33. FILELIST.TXT are distributed as a group.
  34.  
  35. Computer Clubs and User Groups wishing to add the SAB Diskette Utility
  36. package to their disk library may do so in accordance with the Distribution
  37. Restrictions listed below.

  39. Limited Distribution License:

  42. As the exclusive copyright holder for SAB Diskette Utility, Stewart A.
  43. Berman authorizes distribution only in accordance with the following
  44. restrictions.

  46. ASP Approved Vendors in good standing are hereby given permission to
  47. distribute SAB Diskette Utility package.  Non-ASP member vendors must
  48. request permission prior to distributing this package.

  58. The SAB Diskette Utility package is defined as containing all the material
  59. listed in the FILELIST.TXT text file.  If any files listed in the
  60. FILELIST.TXT text file, or the FILELIST.TXT file itself, are missing, then
  61. the package is not complete and distribution is forbidden.  Please contact
  62. us to obtain a complete package suitable for distribution.

  64. The SAB Diskette Utility package - including all related program files and
  65. documentation files - CANNOT be modified in any way and must be distributed
  66. as a complete package, without exception.  The FILELIST.TXT text file
  67. contains a list of all files that are part of the SAB Diskette Utility
  68. package.

  70.    Small additions to the package, such as the introductory or installation
  71.    batch files used by many shareware disk vendors, are acceptable.
  72.  
  73. No price or other compensation may be charged for the SAB Diskette Utility
  74. package.  A distribution fee may be charged for the cost of the diskette,
  75. shipping and handling, as long as the total (per disk) does not exceed
  76. US$8.00 in the U.S. and Canada, or US$12.00 internationally.

  78. Disk Sets & CD-ROMs:

  80. The SAB Diskette Utility package CANNOT be sold as part of some other
  81. inclusive package.  Nor can it be included in any commercial software
  82. packaging offer, without a written agreement from Stewart A. Berman.

  84.    ASP Approved Vendors who wish to distribute the SAB Diskette Utility
  85.    package as part of a collection (such as PsL's MegaDisk set, or a CD-ROM
  86.    package) may do so provided that all the other restrictions are met.

  88.    Vendors (non-ASP Vendor Members) who wish to distribute the
  89.    SAB Diskette Utility package as part of a collection (such as PsL's
  90.    MegaDisk set, or a CD-ROM package) must obtain permission from Stewart
  91.    A. Berman prior to beginning such a distribution.

  93.    If you wish to add any of our programs to a CD-ROM or other collection,
  94.    please check the release date of the version you have.  If the version
  95.    is over three (3) months old then please contact us to ensure that you
  96.    have the most current version.  This version was released in October,
  97.    1993.

  99. Disk-of-the-Month (or Subscription) Distribution:

  101. If you would like to distribute the SAB Diskette Utility package as a
  102. Disk-of-the-Month, or as part of a subscription or monthly service, then
  103. the following restrictions apply:

  105.    ASP Associate (Disk Vendor) Members in good standing are hereby given
  106.    permission to distribute the SAB Diskette Utility package under the
  107.    Disk-of-the-Month style of distribution.

  118.    Others (non-ASP Members) must contact us in advance to ensure that you
  119.    have the most current version of the software.

  121.    You cannot use a Disk-of-the-Month distribution to use up your inventory
  122.    of old (out of date) disks.  Only current versions may be shipped as
  123.    Disk-of-the-Month disks.

  125. The SAB Diskette Utility package cannot be "rented" or "leased" to others.
  126.  
  127. You may not list any of our products in advertisements, catalogs, or other
  128. literature which describes our products as "FREE SOFTWARE".  Shareware is
  129. "Try-Before-You-Buy" software, it is not free.
  130.  
  131. Stewart A. Berman prohibits the distribution of outdated versions of the
  132. SAB Diskette Utility package, without written permission from Stewart A.
  133. Berman.  If the version you have is over three (3) months old, please
  134. contact us to ensure that you have the most current version.  This version
  135. was released in October, 1993.

  137. Licensee shall not use, copy, rent, lease, sell, modify, decompile,
  138. disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or transfer the licensed program
  139. except as provided in this agreement.  Any such unauthorized use shall
  140. result in immediate and automatic termination of this license.

  142. U.S. Government Information:  Use, duplication, or disclosure by the U.S.
  143. Government of the computer software and documentation in this package shall
  144. be subject to the restricted rights applicable to commercial computer
  145. software as set forth in subdivision (b)(3)(ii) of the Rights in Technical
  146. Data and Computer Software clause at 252.227-7013 (DFARS 52.227-7013).  The
  147. Contractor/manufacturer is Stewart A. Berman, 34 Adler Place -- Suite B,
  148. Bronx, NY  10475-3901.
